The Marathon, which had the Port of Luanda as its starting point, ran along Largo 4 de Fevereiro, Av. Murtala Mohamed, Farol Vermelho-Luanda Island, Av. Agostinho Neto (Chicala), contour BFA, BAI, until the entrance of the Praça da República (Mausoleu) the arrival point.
With a time of two hours and ten minutes, equivalent to 4.6 minutes per kilometer, Luís Cupenala covered 21 km, in the race that had the participation of more than five hundred athletes from different countries, with the main emphasis being on athletes of Kenyan nationality, being one of these winner of the International Peace Marathon.
At 61 years old, it is fair to say that age is just a number.
